LAHORE: Cricketer Umar Akmal was detained by the police after a heated exchange with a traffic warden near Firdous Market in Lahore, Express News reported on Saturday.

The Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) said that Akmal broke a traffic signal and was rude to the warden, adding that a First Information Report (FIR) may be registered against him.

Akmal reportedly tried to drive away when the warden stopped him to ask for his papers.
