Shahbaz vows to turn Punjab into prosperous province

LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has said that the PML-N led government would pursue such policies which could turn Punjab into a prosperous province. “We will come up to the peoples expectations,” he said while addressing the Punjab Assembly session here on Wednesday. He said Finance Minister presented a comprehensive budget in the House and during his budget speech, he stated the development vision and important targets of the government. He said opposition leader and leaders of other parties gave proposals regarding budget and expressed their point of view. He thanked members for taking part in the budget discussion. He assured the House that the process of consultation with honourable members would also continue in future and full benefit would be taken from their proposals. The Chief Minister said the country was facing numerous problems including terrorism. He said the serious problem being faced by the country was loadshedding as this is the problem of 180 million people of Pakistan.
